CASE STUDY UNTILIZING FORMULA 06 ( NEOFLEXCIN)

New and effective methods for treating musculoskeletal conditions without the risk of using NSAIDs, Opioids, and/or other pain and inflammation reducing agents, has long been an on going exercise in the area of physical medicine. A quick scan of the literature shows only a small number of attempts to combine a safe and proven analgesic with a serious attempt to provide long term healings building blocks. Formula 06 provides this and in a delivery system which offers a quicker and more specific location delivery.
Also included in the basic formula are ingredients that have been scientifically tested and proven for long tem relief of OA, and sports types of injuries. A landmark government-sponsored study proves that the combination of Glucosamine, Chondroitin and essential fatty acids is effective in treating moderate to severe Osteoarthritis pain. In this multi-center, randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled, parallel group study, 1583 subjects with Osteoarthritis took either 1500 mg Glucosamine, 1200 mg Chondroitin and 1200 mg EPA or a combination of the three in the same doses, or a placebo for 24 weeks. When compared to placebo, subjects with moderate to severe Osteoarthritis taking a combination had shown statistically significant improvement in joint pain. Adverse effects were generally mild and evenly distributed among the groups.
Results seem to suggest that incorporating these actives with Essential Fatty Acids, specific enzyme keys and proven analgesic, offer professionals as well as OTC products, a multi – facetted approach that is both safe and effective. The general purpose of the case studies is to conduct a first line research project in order to establish patient satisfaction and product effectiveness.
STUDY POPULATION
The patient subjects were all selected by the attending physician that he thought would benefit with the formula. Patients with organic or other non musculoskeletal presentations were excluded. Some of the selected patients had chronic conditions such as OA and Fibromyalgia while other patients presented with acute sports type injuries and others yet with spinal pain presentations.
Out of the eight patients tested, two were male and six were female. Ages ranged from 18 to 62.
A patient index is provided as follows:
- 58 year old male presenting with OA in multiple joints, and muscle pain between shoulders and both hands.
- 62 year old female presenting with Right SI joint paint and sciatica.
- 46 year old female presenting with loss of cervical spinal curve and resulting cervical spinal pain accompanied with headaches.
- 32 year old female presenting with Fibromyalgia.
- 39 year old female presenting with CAD trauma type injuries, i.e. cervical and thoracic pain.
- 27 year old male presenting with mid back pain.
- 29 year old female presenting with upper lumbar pain and sciatica.
- 18 year old female presenting with cervical pain following a equestrian accident.
METHODS
After informed consent, formula was applied to the area of concern and massaged into the skin. A sample supply was given to each patient with home care instructions. Patient was asked to report to the physician on the each follow up visit with the treating physician.
DISCUSION
All patients reported the physician similar results. All reported almost immediate results from the heating and cooling effects of the product ingredients. Relief varied with the conditions and lasted from several hours to six to eight hours before return of the symptoms required a reapplication of the product.
The methodology is putting nutrients in the area of the injury/pain whereas providing the healing powers of the body the necessary building blocks and at the location of the injury. Therefore, the application of Formula 06 eliminates the need to digest, absorb, and transport required nutrients to the injury sites. We found that 100% of the patients treated with Formula 06, were pleased with the product results, provided a varied amount of short term relief, and provided a platform for a more speedy return to pre- injury status of involved soft tissues.
