I swear by Neoflexcin, over the course of two years l had six heart surgeries.The first surgery was open heart ,to remove and repair an aneurysm and place an artificial graft to repair it. All went well but about six weeks post op , l developed an infection of the graft. They did a second surgery to clean out the infection and I was placed on a very powerful antibiotic and a wound vac was placed. After many weeks of IV antibiotics, the infection was still present. I &was placed on more antibiotics and the wound vac remained. Again the infection was still present so another surgery was done to “clean” out the infection and once again I had a wound vac and stronger, IV and oral and again had to be confined to a skilled care facility to administer the antibiotics IV as well as oral. During my confinement an artery was cut during the surgery and when the wound vac was being changed as ordered, the artery tore and l lost a great amount of blood before I realized it, and was taken back to the hospital and the artery repair was done in the emergency room under general anesthesia. I was confined in the hospital for several weeks and again released to a skilled care facility with IV antibiotics and a wound vac. The infection remained, antibiotics, cleaning out the infection, and wound vac did not solve the infection. Another surgery was done to clean the infection but it was unsuccessful also. Finally, the doctors decided to do open heart surgery again and remove the infected graft and replace it with a “homograft “ l go to the hospital twice a year for CT scans to monitor the homograft and to see the heart surgeon. So far there has been no sign of any infection. After , the first surgery I started having very bad back pain on my right side. Narcotics was the only thing that gave me any relief but l could not function while on them. The pain has continued and has gotten worse after each surgery. I was put on muscle relaxers, Tylenol, and narcotics at times. Nothing seemed to help it so our friend sent me a bottle of Neoflexcin , l tried it and it gave me relief. Relief that l did not have for all the surgeries. I can now function most of the time pain free and do not depend on narcotics, and use muscle relaxers very seldom.
